IN THEIR OWN WORDS.
The experiences of players who have trained, competed and pursued professional opportunities through the USPBL.
Our Academy connects individualized training with the chance to compete at UWM Field and a system for documenting progress and pursuing professional playing opportunities.
BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN PLAYER DEVELOPMENT AND PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITY.
Every year, talented baseball players reach a crossroads in their careers. College eligibility ends, professional opportunities become limited, and many are left without a clear pathway to continue developing, competing, and advancing.
The USPBL Development Academy was created to bridge that gap.
Traditional training environments can help players improve their skills and physical abilities, but often lack the opportunity to translate that development into meaningful game competition.
The USPBL brings together individualized training, advanced player-performance analytics, and the opportunity for eligible players to compete at UWM Field in a professional stadium atmosphere.
Our methodology focuses on what matters most: helping players become more successful in games. Through comprehensive player dashboards, we connect training, measurable improvements, and actual game performance to identify what is needed to advance.
Backed by the USPBL's history of helping players earn professional opportunities, the Academy creates a structured environment to improve, demonstrate abilities, and pursue the next step.
Every player begins with an in-person onboarding assessment that identifies strengths, opportunities for improvement, and development priorities. From there, athletes may continue with in-person or virtual training based on their location and goals.

For eligible Academy participants, the Westside Woolly Mammoths development team creates an opportunity to apply training in live games at UWM Field. Game participation also provides extensive reporting, performance analytics and video to help coaches and players prepare for the next competition.

Training prepares players for competition. Game reports, video and ongoing physical monitoring help our staff connect what happens on the field to each player's next development priorities.
The USPBL uses player dashboards to connect training decisions with what happens in games. Our goal is not to collect metrics for their own sake, but to help each player understand performance, document progress and demonstrate value to professional evaluators.
Participation does not guarantee a tryout, roster position, playing time, or professional contract.
